Outpatient Excellence with Minimal Inpatient Burden

The scope of your outpatient practice will span the full breadth of general pediatrics. Well-child visits form the foundation, but you will also manage acute illnesses, chronic conditions, developmental concerns, and behavioral health issues common in pediatric populations. The current pediatrician at Ivinson, Daiva Olipra, MD, has developed particular expertise in ADD/ADHD management, concussion evaluation, headache disorders, and integrative approaches to childhood wellness. You will have the freedom to develop your own areas of clinical interest while serving the broad needs of families in this community.

A Call Schedule Designed for Sustainable Practice

Your inpatient responsibilities have been structured to protect your quality of life while ensuring coverage for hospitalized pediatric patients. You will take call seven days per month, covering children ages 2 through 17. This manageable rotation means roughly one week of call monthly, with the remainder of your time fully protected for clinic, family, and personal pursuits.

The hospital's investment in dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioners fundamentally changes what call looks like for pediatricians here. The NNP’s provide 24/7 coverage for all patients from birth through age 2, handling newborn assessments, nursery rounds, and neonatal concerns that would otherwise fall to you. With approximately 400 deliveries annually at Ivinson, this coverage model removes a substantial burden that pediatricians at other community hospitals often carry. You will not perform deliveries or provide obstetric support; the OB/GYN team handles all aspects of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
