Your clinical practice at Bozeman Health will encompass the full breadth of thoracic surgery. You will perform esophageal procedures, lung resections, and a wide range of minimally invasive techniques, all within a modern surgical environment designed to support complex cases. This is a 100% thoracic practice. You will not split time with cardiac surgery or general surgery coverage. Every case on your schedule will align with your specialty training and professional interests.
The surgical infrastructure at Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center provides the foundation for advanced thoracic work. You will operate in a facility with ten operating rooms, giving you dedicated OR time and predictable scheduling rather than competing for block time with a crowded surgical roster. The 20-bed critical care unit offers robust postoperative support for your most complex patients, staffed by intensivists and critical care nurses experienced in managing cardiothoracic recovery. The 25-bed emergency department and Level III ACS Trauma Center designation mean the system handles high-acuity patients routinely, with protocols and personnel prepared for the demands of serious surgical cases.
The integrated nature of Bozeman Health means you will work within a coordinated system rather than navigating fragmented care pathways. Pulmonology, oncology, radiology, and pathology services connect directly to your practice. Patients move through diagnosis, treatment planning, surgery, and follow-up within a single organizational structure, reducing delays and communication gaps that frustrate both surgeons and patients at less coordinated institutions.
